“Shooting game on hungry civilians” … a British surgeon narrates the atrocities of the Israeli army in Gaza
The British surgeon, Dr. Nick Mainard, who recently returned from Gaza in an interview with “Sky News”, confirmed the existence of “severe malnutrition” between the Gazans, revealing that the Israeli army soldiers are shooting civilians at relief points “as if they were playing the shooting game.
According to the network, Mainard spent four weeks working inside Nasser Hospital, where the lack of food led to the suffering of paramedics in treating children and infants.
Dr. Mainard said: “I met several doctors who were carrying boxes of artificial infant formula in their bags, and all Israeli border guards confiscated them. There was nothing else, except for artificial infant formula. ”
He added: “Four children who were checked during the first two weeks died of my presence in Nasser Hospital, and there will be many other deaths unless the Israelis allow the appropriate food to enter there.”
“Babies feed with water and sugar”
Dr. Mainard has been visiting Gaza for 15 years, and this is his third visit to the Strip since the war began.
The British surgeon added that almost all children in the Pediatrics Unit at Nasser Hospital are feeding with sweetened water.
He warned, “They have a small amount of artificial infant formula for children, but it is not enough.”
Dr. Mainard pointed out that the lack of aid had a great impact on his colleagues, and added: “I saw people I knew for years, and I did not know each other. Two colleagues lost 20 and 30 kilograms of their weight. They were very hungry. They go to work every day, then return to their tents where they do not find food. ”
He emphasized that the Israeli army shoots the residents of Gaza at relief points.
“Shooting Game”
During the interview, Dr. Mainard said that Israeli soldiers are shooting civilians at relief points “as if they were playing a shooting game.”
Dr. Mainard indicated that he had surgical operations for children who are not exceeding 11 years old who were “shooting at aid distribution points” managed by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”.
He said, “They went to get food for their hungry families, and they were shot.”
He pointed out that he had surgery for a 12 -year -old child, “he died at the operation table due to his severe injuries.”
Dr. Mainard stressed that “the most painful thing is the pattern of injuries that we have seen, and injuries collect in certain parts of the body on certain days,” explaining that “on a day they often come with gunshots in the head or neck, and on another day in the chest, and on another day in the abdomen.”
He added: «Twelve days ago, four teenagers came, all of whom had gunshots in the testicles, and deliberately. This is not a coincidence. It was very clear that it could not be considered a coincidence, and it seemed to us more like a shooting game. ”
He continued: “I would never believe this if I had never seen it with my eyes.”
Away from the supervision of the United Nations and international organizations, Tel Aviv and Washington have been implemented since May 27th, a plan to distribute limited aid by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, where the Israeli army is bombing the Palestinian army who are lined up to receive aid.
