
King Charles III, UK, congratulated the England team for winning the European Football Championship title
Women for the second time in a row.
The English national team snatched the championship cup by beating Spain 1/3 with a penalty shootout after 1/1 draw in the original and additional time of the final match in Basel, to keep the continental title it achieved three years ago.
Charles wrote through the official account of the royal family on the platform (X), “Congratulations to England.
He added: “The English fans have always echoed for many years that I do not remember, the famous chant that football will return to their home.”
He continued: “With the return of the English women’s team with the championship cup they achieved in Wembley three years ago, he expressed my admiration and my complete appreciation on behalf of my family with this team, which performed great skill on the field, and translated his teamwork wonderfully.”
“Well done, players, and your next mission is to try to return as much as possible in the 2027 World Cup to the homeland.”
For his part, Mark Bollingham, CEO of the English Football Association, praised the achievement of his country, noting that this team made a spherical English history, adding, “There will be a procession to celebrate the title in the streets of London next Tuesday, it will be a good opportunity to celebrate with the players.”
Polingham added: “Our players, makers of history, European champions for the second time in a row, and they became the first large English team in history to win a championship outside the borders of the country.”
