A new negotiating round threatened with “differences” despite the efforts of the brokers Arabausa

A new tour is expected in Doha to discuss concluding a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, amid disputes that occurred on relief aid, and intense efforts of brokers to end the stalemate. That anticipation was made by an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, for his American counterpart, Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza, and experts who spoke to Asharq Al -Awsat see that the differences will not be absent from any negotiations, whatever the chances of their success, expecting that the parties will reach a solution under the pressures of mediators, especially from Washington.

Trucks loaded with aid entered the Rafah border crossing in Egypt to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, on Monday, the day after the announcement of a “tactical truce” by Israel in parts of the Strip, and an aid’s aid dropping hours after Hamas refused the path of starvation.

The head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, Khalil al -Hayya, waved the suspension of participation in the negotiations, saying in a televised speech, on Sunday, that “there is no meaning to the continuation of negotiations under the siege, extermination and starvation”, noting that “the introduction of food and medicine immediately and in a generous way to our people, is the serious and real expression of the feasibility of the continuation of negotiations, and we will not accept that our people, their suffering and the blood of their children are victims For negotiating occupation games and achieving its political goals.

The two migrants and Qatar affirmed, “their full commitment to continuing negotiations and making efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement,” according to Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati and the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, during a phone call, according to a statement of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, on Sunday.

The two intermediate countries have previously confirmed in a joint statement, Friday, the continuation of the “complex” negotiations, and that “its suspension of the consultations by (Israel and Washington) before resuming the dialogue again is a natural matter”, after a time after an Egyptian source announced via the Egyptian “Cairo News” channel, on Friday, that the negotiations resume this week.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation revealed Saturday, quoting informed sources that were unnamed, that “the negotiations are still in a state of stalemate, but Qatar and Egypt have intensified their contacts during the last days in an attempt to persuade (Hamas) to provide flexibility in its positions, amid warnings that the continuation of stalemate may lead to the loss of control over the situation in Gaza.”

Informed Palestinian sources revealed to Al -Sharq Al -Awsat, on Sunday, that “the brokers are working to hold a new negotiating round on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to reach an agreement on the existing contentious points after the resolution of many items in the previous negotiating round,” stressing that if Israel’s response is positive, which is what I expected, the announcement of the agreement will be within days after negotiating the remaining controversial points.

And the American envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkov, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, announced on Thursday that their team from Doha, which has been hosting negotiations since July 6 on Gaza; With the aim of consulting, and talking about the study of “alternative options” for the return of the hostages, followed by the exchange of criticism from Wittakov, Tremb and Netanyahu to “Hamas”.

Before Witkeov returned, on Sunday, to repeat the American optimism doses, which lasted for a month, especially from Trump, the American envoy confirmed during an interview with the Fox News channel, that negotiations with Hamas may “began to return to its course.” Coinciding with the announcement of the Foreign Minister, Marco Rubio, in statements to the channel itself, that “great progress” has been made in the negotiations, and they are “very close” to the agreement.

The Deputy Director General of the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies, Major General Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Duwairi, expects that “negotiating rounds will be resumed within a short time despite all the negative statements from some parties without real objection from any party.”

He believes that “the negotiations have completed many contentious points during the Doha negotiations, and only specific points remain, the most important of which are some mechanisms for introducing aid, and the number and quality of the Palestinian prisoners who will be released.”

“It is not possible to deny the existence of disputes that cast a shadow over the upcoming rounds,” according to the estimates of Major General Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Duwairi, noting: “However, the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the current state of momentum will lead to the resumption of negotiation in the hope that we will witness within ten days a new truce that may be the last, and we may then see the end of the extermination war.”

The Palestinian political analyst, Suhail Diab, believes that “the hadith (Hamas) is in its place and carries an important message in light of Israel’s attempts to beautify its position by introducing the sector systematically in a way that manages starvation and does not end it,” stressing that “this aid is part of Israeli arrangements that want to pass before it is sure to conclude a” soon “deal.

Amid this anticipation and fear of the influence of the differences, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi urged in a speech broadcast on government television, Trump, to make every efforts to end the war in Gaza and allow aid to enter the Strip, and said: “I imagine that the time has come to end this war.”

While Trump announced, on Monday, to journalists in Scotland during a meeting with British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer, that dealing with Hamas has become difficult in the past few days, revealing that he spoke with Netanyahu about “different plans” to return the hostages, but he said that the ceasefire in Gaza was “possible”.

In turn, Starmer said that he also agreed with Trump on the need to stop the shooting in the Gaza Strip, pointing to the need to mobilize other countries to reach this matter.

Al -Duwairi believes that “it is certain that President Sisi’s call to stop the war will find a wide repentance of the various parties, especially Washington,” expecting that “the US President will re -engage the United States in negotiations quickly and with stronger effectiveness”, while Suhail Diab suggests that there is no alternative to the parties going to a truce in the Gaza Strip soon under pressure from Washington in light of the escalating developments in Gaza.
