Aid convoys have started to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing Arabausa

The Israeli army announces a “tactical suspension” of military operations in 3 areas in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli army announced, on Sunday, a temporary “tactical suspension” of military operations in three specific areas in Gaza, shortly after he said that it had taken several steps to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

The Israeli army said that stopping the operations will be daily in Al -Mawasas, Deir Al -Balah and Gaza City, from ten in the morning (07:00 GMT) until eight in the evening local time (17:00 GMT) until further notice, according to Reuters.

He added that the specific safe paths will be applied permanently from six in the morning until eleven in the evening.

The Israeli army announced, on Saturday evening, that it had dropped humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, which is facing thousands of residents.

The army said on “Telegram”: “According to the directives of the political leadership, the Israeli Defense Army recently carried out an air projection of humanitarian aid in the context of continuous efforts to allow aid to enter the Gaza Strip and facilitate this,” according to the French Press Agency.

The army added that the projection operation included seven aid parcels containing flour, sugar and canned foods.

On Saturday, the Israeli army also indicated that an electricity line is linked to a desalination plant, indicating that this step is expected to meet the daily water needs for about 900,000 people in Gaza.

International relief organizations say that a collective starvation is now spreading among the 2.2 million Gaza population with the depletion of stocks, after Israel stopped entering aid to the sector in March, before opening the way for its entry according to new restrictions in May.

Israel says it allowed enough food to enter Gaza, accusing the United Nations of failing to distribute it. The international organization confirms that it is working as possible as possible in light of Israeli restrictions.

On the other hand, international activists on a aid ship sailed from Italy heading to Gaza, in a post on the X platform, said that the ship had been intercepted.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, on the “X” platform, that the navy “prevented the ship from illegal entry to the maritime area of the Gaza coast”, and that it is being transferred to the Israeli beaches, noting that all passengers are safe.

On Thursday, the United Nations said that the suspension of military operations for humanitarian purposes would allow “an increase in humanitarian aid” and confirmed that Israel did not provide sufficient alternatives to its convoys, which hindered the arrival of supplies.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirms that dozens of residents of the Gaza Strip have died due to malnutrition during the past few weeks. She added that the number of those who died due to malnutrition since the war began about two years ago reached 127 people, including 85 children.
