The Colombian International Louis Diaz, the Liverpool Football Team winger, arrived in Munich, Germany, today (Tuesday), to conduct a medical examination at Bayern Munich, according to the German newspaper “Bild” and the “Sky” television network.
“Bild” monitored the player upon his arrival at Munich Airport, according to photos published by the famous newspaper.
Diaz is expected to sign a four -year contract with the Bavarian club, and an official announcement will be issued later in the day.
According to news reports, Bayern will pay 75 million euros (86.4 million dollars) to Liverpool for Diaz’s services.
In the event that things go as planned, Diaz may participate for the first time with Bayern, the German league champions (Bundesliga) in the past season, during the friendly match against French Lyon next Saturday.
Liverpool, the Premier League title in the past season, was not prepared at the beginning to sell Diaz, but the situation changed after the Red Team recently signed with Hugo Iteteke, the German player Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bayern is looking for a new striker after the departure of Leroy Sani and Thomas Muller, and after his failure to contract with Florian Vertz, moving from Leverkusen to Liverpool.
