Israel declares the dropping of humanitarian aid in Gaza … and is preparing for “temporary Hadn” in the Strip
The Israeli army announced, on Saturday, that it had dropped humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, whose thousands of population faces the danger of starvation.
The army said on “Telegram”: “According to the directives of the political leadership, the Israeli Defense Army recently carried out an air projection of humanitarian aid in the context of continuous efforts to allow aid to enter the Gaza Strip and facilitate this,” according to the French Press Agency.
The Israeli army added that the projection operation included seven aid parcels containing flour, sugar and canned food.
The army announced, earlier (Saturday), several measures to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza after the escalation of international pressure. He said in a statement: “It was decided to identify humanitarian corridors in which the caravans of the United Nations and international organizations are allowed to move safe for the purpose of introducing food and medicines” to the residents of Gaza.
The Israeli army added that it is preparing for “periods of temporary suspension of military actions for humanitarian purposes in areas where there are populated areas.”
In turn, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the implementation of a “humanity” to allow the distribution of aid in the Gaza Strip starting on Sunday morning. The ministry said in a statement to «X», late on Saturday, that the truce will be applied in the “civil centers and humanitarian corridors” in Gaza.
She added that while “Israel continued to facilitate the entry of aid trucks into the Strip,” the United Nations “has so far failed to collect and distribute the large amount of aid truck stored in allocated areas inside Gaza.”
The Foreign Ministry said that the United Nations will now “collect and distribute large quantities of aid, without any additional delay or excuses.” She added, “Israel rejects false accusations of advertising (starvation) launched by the Hamas movement, which manipulates pictures of children with deadly diseases. It is shameful. ”
The United Nations has refuted the Israeli prosecution that the organization refuses to distribute food.
“We are not trying to prevent all these people, including our employees, from getting food,” said UN spokesman, Farhan Haq, on Thursday. They are exposed to various obstacles, including those that the Israeli authorities place. ”
Haq added that the multi -stage approval process by the Israeli army was very stressful, with great delays, which often led to the night before the cargo can be loaded to start.
Last Wednesday, the World Health Organization warned of a deadly hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip. Many other relief organizations also warn of this.
