Iraqi billiard player Amir Ali: The “most beautiful” Saudi version globally Arabausa

The Iraqi player, Amir Ali, placed his mark in the Billiard World Cup in Jeddah, before he was deposited from the quarter -finals by Albani Klink Katchi.

Amir said in a statement to Asharq Al -Awsat after the end of his career in the championship: “My thanks to the Kingdom will host this world championship, and I hope that it will reach its goal in hosting such championships, and that it will be crowned in the future with a Saudi hero. In my view, this version is one of the best championships in the world, and I am proud to participate in it. Rather, I do not wish to finish the severity of enjoying the atmosphere and the wonderful organization. ”

Regarding his opinion on the level of the game in the Arab world, he said: “I see that Iraq in the Arab world is the Philippines in billiards at the global level, as there are great talents and levels in my country, but unfortunately the game did not receive enough attention or support to reach global competition, indicating that he hopes that the appropriate support for Iraqi players will raise the name of their country in international forums.”

He also praised the level of Saudi players, saying: “I see that the participating Saudi players have distinctive levels and there are promising materials of small ages, and I hope to see them as champions for the world in the future, only they have to diligence and continue the participants.”

From the beginnings of shyness in one of the billiard halls in Babylon Governorate, the march of the Iraqi billiard player, Amir Ali, who found in the game an outlet and a hobby at the age of fourteen, before his discovered talent turned by chance into a bright professional path.

At the age of seventeen, Amir participated in his first local championships, and then succeeded in achieving the first place, which paved the way for him to represent Iraq in the junior championship that was held in Dubai in 2015, where he shine remarkably and achieved two gold medals.

In 2016, his professional career stopped for one year to complete the secondary stage, but he returned strongly in 2017, where he participated with the Iraqi team in the West Asian men in Jordan, and continued to win the achievements.

Amir has 12 gold medals at the level of Arab championships, and 6 medals in West Asia. In his first participation in the 10th World Championships, which was held in Qatar, he succeeded in achieving fifth place, to confirm his international presence.
