
The Russian authorities said that Russia will start today, Sunday, to conduct direct flights to passengers from Moscow to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, as part of the two former allies in the Communist bloc to strengthen relations after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The move, which is the first regular operation of the trips between the two capitals since the mid -1990s, comes, according to Russian airline blogs, after the resumption of passenger railway service between Moscow and Pyongyang in June, a 10 -day flight.
