A security belt with marches … The facts of an unannounced Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon
It was not half an hour since Hassan (34 years) arrived in Marj Al Khayyam in southern Lebanon to meet his friends in a kiosk that served coffee on the side of the road, until a small Israeli plane fell towards them, and began taking pictures of their faces. The young man and his friend carried their coffee, and each of them dispersed towards his home, for fear of targeting them.
This incident with the Israeli masterpieces is not the only one that the residents of the border area talk about, as Israeli information gathering does not stop flying in the area, and the visitors who inspect their homes, or plan to spend the summer vacation in them. The visitor to the southern Lebanon region has heard the stories of the population with the marches since before the expanded war last September, until this time, which leads to the fact that the region is occupied by enlightenings and technology.
Windows on the windows
After the ceasefire agreement came into force last November, Fatima (a pseudonym) and her family returned to the town of Konin (Bint Jbeil District) in the south to inspect her home. She gathered the broken glass as a result of the strikes, cleaned her home, and her night is now, to be surprised in the evening that a small path moved from one window to another, trying to monitor the house from the inside. The lady told Asharq Al -Awsat: “I was very afraid, and I did not sleep all night,” noting that this incident was “later tested by other residents, and they told us that the enricitations do not stop following the impact of the returnees and photographing them.”
The stories that the residents tell expand their experiences with enlightenings. In the city of Khayyam (Marjayoun District), people recommend each other to close the windows tightly, after suspicion of a path that entered a house, and conducted an inspection tour inside. The novel argues that one of the residents found contents in his house scattered, and it is likely to be a small path that entered the house from the window to photograph it, and it seems that it collided with some contents, which led to its stumbling, similar to the videos that come from Gaza, and show photography inside the houses.

In their statements to Asharq Al -Awsat, the residents gather that what is going on “leads to the belief that the region is completely occupied, without the presence of soldiers on the ground, or barriers and tanks as was the case before the liberation of southern Lebanon in 2000.” One of them says: “The days of the occupation, there were crossings to the border strip area, flying barriers, inspection barriers, tank patrols and searches inside the homes, by Israeli soldiers or elements of the militia of the (South Lebanon Army loyal to Israel).” He adds: «But now, there is no need for all of this. There is a border tape and occupation of marches. They determine those who are allowed to enter the area, and those who are forbidden to reside in his village. Those who refuse to exist, targeting him and assassinating him, are isolated from whether he was from (Hezbollah), a civilian, farmer, maintenance worker and farmer who wants to stay at his home.
Fire insulating area
The Lebanese authorities do not hide that these facts indicate that Israel formed a security belt, through targeting and permanent monitoring of the enlightenings. A security source told Asharq Al -Awsat that the border area “has become a buffer zone with fire, and does not hesitate to implement targeting of residents and homes.”

The Lebanese army was unable to complete its spread in the rest of the south, especially in the border region, due to Israel’s occupation of five border points, which was repeated by the government and the Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, who is calling for an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories, and calls on the influential countries to pressure Israel to implement its withdrawal.
The Lebanese army says that it has completed the dismantling of the majority of Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the South Litani region, and deals with any information about possible sites and takes the necessary measures in terms of its dismantling, and these measures led to the end of the party’s military composition in South Litani.
