Las Vegas will host the draw for the World Cup 2026 in football, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, on December 5th, according to several media reports, Tuesday.
The American “ESPN” and “TUDN” networks reported that the city of Las Vegas was chosen to draw the expanded finals in which 48 teams participated, for the first time in the history of the World Cup.
The 48 teams will be distributed to 12 groups.
When the United States hosted the 1994 World Cup finals when Brazil was crowned the fourth title at the expense of Italy, the draw ceremony was held in Las Vegas as well.
A preliminary report to the “ESBN” network stated that the “Safir” complex, which accommodates 17500 seats and opened in 2023, may be the most likely place to host the lottery, but sources from the famous carrying complex are the form of entertainment and concerts in Paradise, east of The Venice, in Las Vegas, Nevada, confirmed to the French Press Agency, that the lot will not Run there.
Then, “ESPN” later confirmed that sources from “Ambassador” informed the sports network that it would not take place there.
In the 1994 World Cup, the lot was held in Las Vegas, although it was not a city host to any of the finals, a situation that also applies to the event next year.
