The Kuwaiti army to expand the use of the Turkish “Birchdar” plane in civil and military tasks Arabausa

The Kuwaiti army said, on Sunday, that Major General Pilot, Sabah Jaber Al -Ahmad Al -Sabah, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, presided over a coordination meeting today to discuss ways to benefit from the air reconnaissance trips of the Turkish “Birchdar” plane, in the presence of a number of representatives of the military and civil authorities.

Kuwait concluded a contract with Türkiye in 2023 to supply 367 million dollars in Bayrakdar TB2.

The army added in a statement on the “X” website that the meeting centered on discussing the mechanism of organizing the air reconnaissance trips of the “Birchdar” plane, and ways to enhance the benefit from its outputs by various parties of the state, in a way that contributes to supporting monitoring and follow -up efforts, and enhances the state’s capabilities in dealing with security and environmental variables.

During the meeting, the technical and technical capabilities of the plane, the systems that were provided with it were reviewed, and the opportunities available to employ these capabilities in the defense and security fields, as well as environmental control tasks, border monitoring and biological facilities.

The Deputy Chief of Staff stressed, during the meeting, that benefiting from the capabilities of the “Birchdar” is not limited to the military side, but also extends to many sectors of the civil state, calling for the integration of efforts between the military and civil authorities to take optimal benefit from this advanced technology.

He also pointed out that “Birchdar” represents a qualitative shift in the capabilities of monitoring, follow -up, environmental monitoring, and the tasks of protecting facilities and borders, as having such advanced weather systems puts a great responsibility in front of us in their investment and employment in an optimal way.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army called for the necessity of harnessing the capabilities of the “Birchdar” plane in supporting the military and civilian authorities in the country to achieve the maximum benefit from exploratory trips in carrying out security and field tasks, monitoring environmental phenomena, environmental violations, monitoring borders and vital installations, in order to support the efforts of these authorities in carrying out their tasks with higher efficiency and enhances their capabilities for rapid dealing with emergency cases.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers from the army, the Ministry of Interior, the National Guard, the General Fire Fire, representatives from the Ministry of Public Works, the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for the Environment.

Last Thursday, Kuwait officially launched the Turkish -made plane “Bayrakdar TB2”, announcing that it entered service for the first time within the Kuwaiti army hardware.

The inauguration was held at the Salem Al -Sabah Air Force Base, in the presence of the Kuwaiti Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al -Sabah.
