Trump enters to prevent the truce of the truce Arabausa

Araqji reveals the scenes of the end of the 12 -day war: the guide approved the armistice decision

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqji revealed new details about the decision of Tehran to accept the ceasefire with Israel after a 12 -day war last month, explaining that the Supreme National Security Council “made during an exceptional meeting on the eighth or ninth day of the confrontation, a strategic decision to approve the truce without preconditions if Israel submitted an official request for that”, pointing out that the decision came from the position of power.

Araqji said in an interview with official television: “Based on this decision, since Iran was defending itself and was not exceeding anyone, the ceasefire was logical and reasonable without preconditions.” He pointed out that “all the decisions of the Supreme Council of National Security must have the approval of the guide (Ali Khamenei) until it is implemented, and in this case also the decision was approved, and it was ready for the issuance.” The minister pointed out that at one o’clock in the morning, contacts stated that Israel was ready for a ceasefire, followed by the conduct of extensive consultations with the commander of the “Revolutionary Guards” and the relevant authorities to ensure that the request is compatible with the approved decision. It was later assured that Iran will stop military operations only if the other party stopped its attacks.

In this regard, he said: “In my capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs, I conducted consultations with the commander of the (Revolutionary Guard) and the concerned authorities to assess the extent of the conditions of the conditions with the decision issued by the Supreme Council of National Security.”

Araqji pointed to a misunderstanding in the early hours of the ceasefire, about the timing, saying: “A misunderstanding occurred between me and the armed forces. Colleagues believed that the deadline extends until 4 pm GMT; So the strikes against the entity continued until 7:30 Tehran time, and then another misunderstanding occurred on the afternoon that was contained through a phone call.

He added: «The first day of the ceasefire day, the entity claimed that Iran fired missiles and violated the agreement, so they sent their planes to attack. I immediately sent a message to the American envoy Steve Witkev, stating that Israel is looking for an excuse and accuses Iran of violating without any basis, and if they did any hostile action, we will respond with more powerful than before. And I said: (What they did in Lebanon will not be able to repeat it here).

Araqji continued: “You saw how Trump tweeted later commanding the pilots to return, and stopped Israel, and it became clear that there is another reason, which is that everything was coordinated with the Americans from the beginning.”

Araqji had published a tweet at the dawn of June 24, in which he indicated the start of the ceasefire at 4 am Tehran time.

On whether Israel tried to target it, Araqji said: “I did not receive any telephone threat from the Zionist entity, but an explosion occurred in a house opposite a residential headquarters during the war, and the security services were able to control the situation.” And he added, “We were more than once to fly aircraft on us while we moved to and from Türkiye.”

Araqji traveled from Tehran to Türkiye to go to Geneva with the aim of participating in negotiations held on June 20 with his European counterparts in Geneva.

In response to a question about whether Iran was ready for the war during the past year, he said: “The armed forces were in a state of war alert, and the government was ready to confront. After the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and the operation (Al -Waad Al -Sadiq 2) – early October – and the fall of Syria and the election of Trump, we were about to war at least 3 times. ”

He added: “The government and the armed forces were ready, and diplomacy was very active, and by creating a strategic terror in the region we were able to prevent a comprehensive war.”

Doubts after the assassination of Haniyeh

Iran and Israel exchanged strikes last year, in April and last October. In the beginning of October, Israel launched an attack during which air defense systems and radar systems struck in western and central Iran.

Araqji said that “the last war was expected,” and added: “The Zionist entity was waiting for a response after the October process, and they sent letters that their response would be painful.”

“Why is the operation not carried out? And why the president objects? I am responsible for defending the country, and the moment I make sure of my ability to protect the country from the consequences of the response, I will do my mission. I have not asked the President yet, and he has defended a full defense of the president.

Araqji referred to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31, last year, hours after President Masoud Boukhshakian performed the oath in front of Parliament. He said: «When Haniyeh was assassinated, I was one of the candidates for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on that evening the guide held a meeting (for the National Security Council) as it was customary when important issues occurred, and I was also invited.

He added: «At that meeting, the opinion was unanimously on the need to respond, but there were differences between politicians and military personnel about timing and how. The main reason for the frequency about timing came from the military side in reality. Military leaders believed that the attack should take place at a time when we were sure of our ability to defend the country after the attack.

“There was a difference in opinion on the timing and how to attack both military and political leaders,” Araqji added. At that meeting, it was decided that the military preparations to defend the country will be completed after the first attack, and then the operation will be carried out.

Araqji referred to his regional contacts before the war with Israel. He said: «I traveled 17 times to the area with the aim of enabling diplomacy to prevent war. Diplomacy is always the least and expensive way to achieve goals, and has always priority. ” He added, “The message was conveyed to all countries that any confrontation between Iran and Israel will not remain confined between them, without this means that we will fight other countries.”

Araqji said in part of the interview that “Israel is making every effort to drag America to war. If America enters the war, our missiles will not need to reach American territory; There is enough American bases in the region (to respond to it), and unfortunately some of them are in your lands, and we will have to strike them.

Hours before broadcasting the interview, Iranian sites had indicated that the Radio and Television Authority prevented the second episode of the dialogue program with Iranian officials, hosted Araqji, and the first episode had been broadcast on Friday, and its guest was General Ahmadi Wahidi, Advisor to the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards. The broadcast of the interview came a day after President Masoud Boukhskian’s visit to the Iranian “Foreign Ministry” headquarters.

The negotiating path

Araqji responded to a question about whether Iran was deceived in negotiations with the United States, saying: “When making the decision to enter into negotiations, the decision is national and must be adhered to. Saying that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was incorrect; Because negotiations were a strategic decision for the entire state. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs performed its role according to the directives of the senior leadership of the regime.

As for the possibility of resuming negotiations with the United States, Araqji said: “At the time of victory, when your knowledge is raised, you must go to negotiations; Because we have proven our strength to the world. ” He added: “The Israeli entity thought that Iran would collapse in a week, but that did not happen, and we saw how new leaders were appointed within hours, and the attacks were responded strongly.”

Araqji concluded by emphasizing that “the enemy was the one who requested a ceasefire, and we were the one who made the last blow.”

Araqji defended the negotiating path, saying: “We were not affected by the negotiations, but we have achieved great gains; We have proven our right to the Iranian people and the international community. Can anyone claim that the war would not have occurred if we did not negotiate? Certainly, she would have fallen, and she might be emerging at an earlier time. ”

He explained that «the cohesion of the Iranian people during the war came as a result of its conviction that the regime made every effort to prevent it, and went to the negotiating table while the other party was seeking the war. Our logic was very strong, and the proof is that more than 120 countries supported us and condemned the aggression against Iran. ”

The head of Iranian diplomacy pointed out that «the logic of the nuclear agreement was based on building confidence on our nuclear program with the acceptance of time restrictions. When Trump expressed his desire to negotiate, we confirmed our willingness to dialogue with the same logic; Because we do not seek to have a nuclear weapon. ”

He added, “During the negotiations, various proposals were presented, such as the idea of consortium (regional nuclear alliance), but it was not acceptable to us.”
